Prontosan® Wound Gel X 50g tube is a highly viscous gel for acute, chronic and burn wounds.
Use to:
- Cleanse and moisturise skin wounds and burns
- Prevent the formation of biofilm

Indications include:
Cleansing, moisturising and decontaminating skin wounds and burns including:
- Traumatic wounds
- Post-operative wounds
- Chronic skin ulcers (e.g. venous, diabetic or pressure ulcers)
- Thermal wounds
- Chemical wounds (acid- and alkali-induced)
- Radiation-induced wounds
- Bandage and wound dressing moistening
- Prontosan Wound Gel X is compatible with commonly used wound dressings
- Composition: Purified Water, Glycerol, Hydroxy-ethylcellulose, Betaine Surfactant, 0.1% Polyaminopropul Biguanide (Polihexanide)
- Sterile
- All wounds should in principle first be rinsed and cleansed with Prontosan Wound Irrigation Solution. Prontosan Gel X remains on the wound bed until the next dressing change, it therefore has a long lasting effect.
- Optimal Use of the Prontosan Range includes Prontosan Wound Irrigation Solution for rinsing & cleansing, Pronotsan Debridement Pad for debridement and Prontosan Wound Gel X for covering and protection of the wound
