Prontosan – only a clean wound can heal
Pronotsan is a ready to use solution containing 0.1% Betaine (surfactant) and 0.1% Polyhexanide (preservative). The unique combination of Polyhexanide and Betaine have a double effect on the wound bed to create a wound environment optimal for healing.
Indicated for cleansing and soaking and moistening of acute, chronic, infected wounds, superficial, superficial partial thickness, deep partial thickness burns and the prevention of biofilm formation.
Indications include:
- Traumatic wounds
- Postoperative wounds
- Chronic ulcers (eg venous, diabetic, arterial or pressure injuries)
- Thermal wounds
- Chemical wounds (acid and alkali induced)
- Radiation induced wounds
- Prontosan helps manage infection prevention, cleansing, as well as wound bed moisturising
- Optimal Use of the Prontosan Range includes Prontosan Wound Irrigation Solution for rinsing & cleansing, Pronotsan Debridement Pad for debridement and Prontosan Wound Gel X for covering and protection of the wound
- Available in a spray format as well
- Can be used up to 8 week after first opening
